How I solved my roach problem
Ever since I could remember we’ve had a roach problem. There were times when they were bad and there were times when they were not so bad. There were times when some of the things we’ve tried worked okay and there were times when they didn’t work at all. We’ve tried various chemicals and your typical aerosol sprays. But, nothing we’ve bought during that time seemed to work the way we wanted.
In the late '80s and early '90s, the problem continued. Like in the past I occasionally used various chemicals and aerosol sprays. Like in previous years I got the problem somewhat under control but, I was never satisfied.
Then, in the mid 90's the problem got out of control. I’d go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and find the sink covered with roaches. The kitchen was no different. Food and drinks could never be left out. If so there was a high probability that it would have to be thrown out. There were times when I had to get roaches out of my bed. They would either crawl up or fall from the ceiling. There were times when I would leave out and later discover that they were stuck(alive) to my clothes. These any many other situations motivated me to get serious about finding a solution to this problem.
After a month or so after I decided to get serious, I came across something while channel surfing. It was a commercial for Combat, a new product for killing roaches. After viewing the commercial I felt that this was something I should try next. As soon as I got the money I purchased the aerosol spray version of Combat. But, after a very short time, I gave up on the product. I felt that it wasn’t any different from what I have bought in the past.
Six months to a year later I decided to give Combat another try. After thinking about it I felt that I gave up too easily on it. This time(instead of buying the aerosol spray version) I decided to try their newest product. I decided to purchased Combat baits.
Due to the situation, I decided to get three boxes. There were twelve baits in each box. I placed the baits in various locations. In about three months I replaced(as mentioned in the directions) the old baits with new ones.
I kept replacing the baits every three months. Each time I bought about three boxes at a time. Despite not seeing much of a change, I continued. I felt that I had nothing to lose by trying this for a while.
Toward the end of the year going into the next, I noticed a difference. I wasn’t seeing as many roaches. This motivated me to continue purchasing this product.
Before that year was out I didn’t see any roaches at all. The whole family noticed it. This product seemed to work. It was hard to believe the results.
In the present day, I have the problem under control. I’m at the point where I don’t have to buy this product as frequently. Once, I went almost the whole year without buying any baits. I don’t have any of the problems of the past. Food and drinks can now be left out, and I no longer see roaches in the middle of the night when I turn on the lights.
Currently, I can probably go about six to eight months more without buying any baits. But, I’m going to continue to purchase the baits to keep things going.
I highly recommend Combat baits. As I have mentioned earlier, I have the problem under control. In the beginning, I needed three boxes(36 baits). Now I only need one box, and I don’t have to buy them as frequently.
So, if you feel that exterminators are too expensive and you want to save money, Combat baits are the best way to get your roach problem under control. I feel it’s the best low-cost solution.
