Throughout the years I have often had trouble with my television reception from the cable company. Some of the channels were okay and some were barely visible. After dealing with the problem for a while I decided to try to find a solution.
In my first search, I didn’t find anything that I thought would be helpful. The only solution was to get a signal booster. But, I’ve had no success with the signal boosters I have bought in the past. So, I dismissed the idea and continued my search.
After a while of unsuccessful searching, I decided to give signal boosters another try. It had been years since I got a signal booster and I was thinking that maybe they had improved. So, I decided to take another look at signal boosters.
After searching for a while I found a new type of signal booster called a drop amplifier. Throughout the web, it mentioned that these types of signal boosters were better than traditional signal boosters. This got my attention and I started to look for more information on drop amplifiers. In my search, I came across PCT International, a company that makes drop amplifiers. On their website, it mentioned the technical specifications of their drop amplifiers and how their signal boosters are much better than signal boosters of the past. This information motivated me to try the product.
With this new knowledge, I started my search to find a retailer of this product. After finding a retailer(amazon.com) I decided to place an order. In a matter of days, I received the PCT Multimedia Drop Amplifier.
I unpacked the drop amplifier, connected the cables, and plugged in the unit. I then turned on the TV and flipped through a few channels to test the picture quality.
The picture quality was impressive and definitely better than what I bought in the past. All of the channels were clear, even the local channels. This product even improved the picture quality on all the other TV’s I own. The channels have a near DVD like quality to them. On some channels the picture quality is impressive enough that I occasionally find myself pressing the info button on my remote to double-check the resolution, to see if it is still 480i.
If you want to improve the picture quality of your television, I would recommend this drop amplifier. I would also recommend(although not required for good picture quality) a second drop amplifier. I have bought a total of two drop amplifiers as replacements for my cable splitters. In my opinion, this improves the picture quality much more, especially if you have cable lines running to more than one television. This is an affordable and high-quality drop amplifier. This is a product that would benefit those with both standard and high definition televisions. I am currently using these drop amplifiers with an analog cable, and four (one high definition and three standards) televisions. Overall, this drop amplifier has given me the picture quality I have always wanted to have and I think it’s worth checking out.
Note: If this drop amplifier doesn’t have the picture quality that I described, a bad coaxial cable may be the culprit.
